Michelle is the President and CEO of The Brandon Jansen Memorial Recovery Centre Inc. The decision to provide treatment beds for those struggling with addiction came as a result of suffering the tragic loss of her son, Brandon, on March 7th 2016 because of a Fentanyl overdose whilst in a treatment centre.
Michelle has founded The Brandon Jansen Foundation. She uses her voice and personal tragedy to foster change within the government and the public arena for resources to address the opioid crisis. She appears in television, radio, and newspaper regularly to garner attention and awareness to this national healthcare epidemic. The Foundation will make generous donations to foster education, awareness, and resources.
Michelle is a visionary and encompasses the communication and organizational skillsets required to create businesses and endeavours to reach unprecedented levels of success. Through her entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills and commitment to community, Michelle Jansen has built sizeable businesses and a Foundation. Michelle is the owner of Jansen Claims Group Inc., a full-service disability and claims management firm specializing in occupational and non-occupational claims. She has been in the disability management field for 15 years managing claims for insurance companies and employees. In 2012, she launched Jansen Claims Group Inc. Michelle is inspired by helping others as evidenced by managing countless disability claims and securing benefits for those in need.
Michelle’s ambition and vision for all her endeavors will undoubtedly fuel unparalleled success in the future. Michelle’s leadership will surpass and exceed the change so desperately required in the midst of this National healthcare crisis.
Michelle resides in Coquitlam and is very close to both her sons, Dillon and Nicholas. She enjoys entertaining and travel.
